Convenience Store Manager – Bray, Co. Wicklow

Our client is looking for an experienced Convenience Store Manager to take ownership of a busy, community-focused store in Bray.

As the Convenience Store Manager, you will oversee the complete operation of the store, ensuring sales targets are achieved, costs are controlled, and customers receive a first-class shopping experience. You will play a key role in motivating the team, growing fresh food sales, and maintaining high operational standards.

Salary: €50k – €55k DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the store
• Drive sales, profitability, and key commercial KPIs
• Lead, motivate, and develop the store team
• Deliver high standards across fresh food, merchandising, and store presentation
• Manage stock control, waste, and shrink effectively
• Ensure excellent customer service at all times
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff training
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, food safety, and health & safety requirements
• Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
• Analyse trading reports and implement actions to improve performance

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Senior Retail Manager within convenience, grocery, or supermarket retail
• Strong people management and team development skills
• Proven ability to drive sales and improve store performance
• Experience managing fresh food departments is highly desirable
• Commercially focused with strong financial awareness
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Customer-focused with a passion for retail excellence
• Flexible, energetic, and results-driven approach
