About this role
Cyber Operations Engineer – Own Cyber Security Across Critical Infrastructure
- Lead cyber security across a complex, business-critical technology environment
- Own vulnerability management, remediation and security improvement
- Hands-on role with real influence across technology, vendors and operations
Join a major Irish organisation and take ownership of cyber security across complex IT and operational environments supporting critical national infrastructure.
This is not a standard SOC Analyst role. You’ll be a senior, hands-on Cyber Operations Engineer, driving vulnerability management, prioritising remediation, leading third-party security providers and supporting incident response across a mix of legacy and modern technologies.
You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, vendors and managed service providers, with genuine ownership from day one. The role also offers exposure to cloud security, OT, threat intelligence, emerging technologies and AI security, alongside participation in an evolving 24/7 SOC function.
If you want to move beyond monitoring and analysis into a role where you can influence security strategy, lead remediation and make a tangible impact protecting critical infrastructure, this is a rare opportunity.
You will
- Own vulnerability management, remediation priorities and security improvement initiatives
- Lead third-party security providers and drive service delivery and continuous improvement
- Support SOC operations, incident response, investigations and cyber exercises
- Work across IT, OT, cloud and emerging technologies to reduce cyber risk
Skills / Experience
- 5+ years’ cyber security experience, with strong hands-on vulnerability management experience
- Proven experience across complex legacy and modern technology environments
- Strong third-party/vendor management and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with cloud security, SOC, SIEM, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence and incident response
Salary / Remuneration: Up to €105,000 + bonus and benefits.
