About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Design Automation Engineer to support, develop, and optimise automated manufacturing systems. You’ll play a key role in troubleshooting equipment, commissioning new systems, improving reliability, and delivering automation solutions within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across automated production equipment.
• Investigate downtime and carry out root-cause analysis.
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support installation, commissioning, testing, and production ramp-up of new equipment.
• Debug PLC, controls, electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Support integration and optimisation of automation equipment.
• Contribute to equipment standardisation, validation, and change control.
• Maintain technical documentation and engineering procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Experience & Skills

Essential

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Automation, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in automation and/or controls engineering.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems and Allen-Bradley/Rockwell .
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with equipment commissioning and production support.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills. INDTRAC
