About this role
Our client, a leading Irish modular construction company for commercial and residential applications, is looking for a Design Co-ordinator to join their team in County Meath. You will manage the flow of technical and design information across multiple projects, from pre-construction through to project close-out. This is a permanent, full-time position, based in office and within easy commute of North Dublin, Meath and Louth.
Key responsibilities
LOI submittals — gathering the suite of pre-contract documents required at Letter of Intent stage. Technical submittals — collecting and issuing technical information (construction details, test reports, materials data) at the start of the design process. Design coordination — coordinating fire safety certification, civils design, and related inputs from our external design team. Coordinating with consultants. Managing document flow between designers, consultants, sub-contractors and site teams. Scheduling works with consultants and tracking delivery against programme. Monitoring consultant progress via weekly meetings and follow-ups as needed. Coordinating with in-house draughtsperson on live projects. Ensuring design information is issued to sub-contractors and site teams. Collecting technical submittals back from sub-contractors. Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for external architects, engineers and specialist consultants. Preparing BCAR closing files — creating files and certs, collecting certs from sub-contractors and consultants, and issuing to the assigned certifier. Preparing the project safety file, following the same collection and issue process.
Requirements
Relevant qualification ( Construction Management, Building Surveying, Architectural Technologist, Engineering etc.) Experience co-ordinating external consultants – chasing, tracking and progressing inputs from architects, engineers or specialist consultants (rather than producing design output directly) Experience operating within a structured document-control process Familiarity with the BCAR process and the assigned certifier role is strongly preferred Experience compiling project safety files is strongly preferred Full clean driving license Salary on offer is €50-55,000.
