Our client, a Tier 1 main contractor, is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their team on a large residential project in Cork City. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the standard expected on a large-scale residential build. The ideal candidate will bring strong supervisory experience on residential or mixed-use construction projects and a hands-on approach to managing trades and subcontractors.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate the daily activities of trades, gangers and subcontractors on site.Ensure all works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards.Plan and sequence works to keep the programme on track, flagging delays early.Enforce site safety procedures and ensure compliance with the site safety statement and RAMS.Liaise with the Site Manager and Project Manager on progress, resourcing and site issues.Manage labour and plant requirements on site, including scheduling and coordination.Carry out regular quality checks and snagging throughout the build.Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, delivery records and progress reports.Act as first point of contact on site for subcontractors and suppliers, resolving issues as they arise.RequirementsProven experience as a Foreman on large residential or mixed-use construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site safety practice.Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors on a live site.Relevant safety certification (Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and any trade-specific tickets).Full driving licence.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.SONCATA
