Head of Credit & Business Operations.

Our clients, Based in Killarney, Co. Kerry, are presently recruiting for a Head of Credit & Business Operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the company’s credit function while driving operational excellence and supporting strategic growth. Working closely with the CEO, COO, and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will ensure sound credit decision-making, effective governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation. This role plays a key part in enhancing business performance, strengthening relationships with partners, and implementing systems and processes that support long-term success. Responsibilities Lead and manage the credit and underwriting function, ensuring consistent, high-quality decision-making in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements to credit strategy and risk management. Develop and lead high-performing teams by setting clear objectives, KPIs, and performance standards. Drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency, customer service, quality, and turnaround times. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, dealers, and key business partners to improve engagement and service delivery. Support business growth through collaboration with business development teams and the implementation of new systems and technologies. Ensure effective governance, compliance, risk management, reporting, and documentation while supporting audits and regulatory reviews. Qualifications Degree or professional qualification in Business, Management, or a related discipline. Proven senior management experience leading credit, Banking, underwriting, or operational teams in a regulated commercial environment. Strong leadership, analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills. Experience improving business processes, operational performance, governance, and stakeholder relationships.
