Health and Safety Manager – Dublin 12

Salary up to €70K plus benefits package

One of Irelands most established fit-out companies is now recruiting an experienced Health and Safety Manager.

In this office based role, you will be a part of a team who specialise in shopfitting and commercial fit-out, providing design and technology solutions to clients in the retail, commercial and office sectors.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects across Ireland and a busy programme of works, this is an excellent opportunity to lead the Health and Safety function within a fast-growing company.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To monitor safety conditions and works with the project teams to ensure consistent enforcement of the internal safety management systems.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Complete weekly site inspections and monthly site audits.
• Develop and complete internal training.
• Support the project teams with regard to the day to day running of the EHS management system.
• Complete regular EHS meetings with subcontractors and the site team.
• Set Health and Safety KPIs, monitor performance and trends, and report to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Irish legislation

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience working in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, 9001, 14001 & 45001- internal auditing.
• IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in shopfitting or live fit-out.
• Previous experience in leading an EHS team.
