Gibbons Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Horticulturist to join the team at a busy and well-established Garden Centre in Virginia, Co. Cavan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest and knowledge of plants and horticulture who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused garden centre environment. The Role The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Garden Centre, including: Providing customers with knowledgeable advice on plants, trees, shrubs and general horticultural products Plant care, maintenance, watering and presentation Assisting customers with plant selection and gardening queries Maintaining attractive and well-stocked plant displays Receiving and organising plant deliveries General duties associated with the smooth running of a busy Garden Centre The Ideal Candidate A qualification in Horticulture or relevant practical horticultural experience Good knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees and seasonal planting Previous experience working in a Garden Centre, nursery or similar environment would be an advantage Friendly and confident when dealing with customers Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team A genuine interest in plants, gardening and horticulture Location Virginia, Co.
