Horticulturist.

Gibbons Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Horticulturist to join the team at a busy and well-established Garden Centre in Virginia, Co. Cavan.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest and knowledge of plants and horticulture who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused garden centre environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the Garden Centre, including:

• Providing customers with knowledgeable advice on plants, trees, shrubs and general horticultural products
• Plant care, maintenance, watering and presentation
• Assisting customers with plant selection and gardening queries
• Maintaining attractive and well-stocked plant displays
• Receiving and organising plant deliveries
• General duties associated with the smooth running of a busy Garden Centre

The Ideal Candidate

• A qualification in Horticulture or relevant practical horticultural experience
• Good knowledge of plants, shrubs, trees and seasonal planting
• Previous experience working in a Garden Centre, nursery or similar environment would be an advantage
• Friendly and confident when dealing with customers
• Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team
• A genuine interest in plants, gardening and horticulture
