Lead Solution Architect Customer Intelligence

About the Role

McKesson is seeking a strategic and technically accomplished Lead Solution Architect Customer Intelligence to drive the architecture vision for enterprise customer experience, customer data, digital engagement, AI-enabled solutions, and cloud-native platforms.

This role provides architectural leadership across large-scale transformation programs, helping shape future-state platforms that deliver personalized customer experiences, intelligent insights, scalable digital products, and business value. The successful candidate will partner with engineering, product, data, security, and business leaders to establish architecture standards and modern technology roadmaps while enabling innovation through cloud, AI, automation, and composable architectures.

What You'll Do

• Define enterprise architecture strategy, target-state roadmaps, and modernization plans for customer-facing platforms and digital ecosystems.
• Lead architecture design for Customer Data Platforms (CDP), customer engagement solutions, behavioral analytics, and transactional data systems.
• Design scalable cloud-native solutions using Azure, microservices, APIs, containers, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures.
• Establish enterprise integration strategies leveraging APIs, middleware, messaging platforms, and composable architecture principles.
• Drive AI, Generative AI, machine learning, recommendation engines, search intelligence, and advanced analytics capabilities across customer experiences.
• Ensure architecture decisions align with security, compliance, resiliency, performance, observability, and operational excellence standards.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Mentor architects and technical leaders while influencing executive stakeholders on technology strategy, investment decisions, and innovation opportunities.

Basic Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or technology leadership roles supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise application architecture and cloud-native solutions.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with microservices, API architecture, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience leading architecture governance, technology standards, and enterprise roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical decisions to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP), customer insights, customer analytics, transactional systems, and behavioral data platforms.
• Expertise in Search Intelligence, recommendation engines, personalization technologies, and analytics engineering.
• Experience with AI, Generative AI, machine learning platforms, and AI integration patterns.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, service mesh, and platform engineering.
• Expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
• Experience with observability platforms, reliability engineering, monitoring, and operational excellence frameworks.
• Knowledge of data architecture, data governance, streaming platforms, and modern data ecosystems.
• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Kubernetes, or equivalent.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

€82,500 - €137,500
