Mechanical Engineer.

Our client, a leading civil and utilities contractor working across the water sector, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a water infrastructure project in Waterford. You will deliver the mechanical works on site, from installation through to testing and commissioning. The right person will have mechanical experience on water or wastewater projects and will be comfortable working with civil, electrical and process teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the mechanical installation on site, including pumps, pipework, valves and process equipment.Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical submittals for compliance with the design.Coordinate with civil, electrical, ICA and process teams so works are sequenced and interfaces are managed.Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers on site.Prepare and review RAMS for mechanical activities.Plan and carry out inspection and test plans, pressure testing and quality checks.Support pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover, including O&M documentation.Track progress against the programme and report to the Project Manager.Make sure all works meet health, safety, environmental and quality standards.RequirementsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Experience in a mechanical engineering role on water or wastewater treatment projects.Working knowledge of pumping systems, pipework and process mechanical equipment.Experience with installation, testing and commissioning.Full driving licence.Eligible to work in Ireland.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
