About this role

Network Security Manager TalentScope Recruitment Solutions, on behalf of our Dublin City Centre based client is recruiting for a Network Security Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The role will be working off a hybrid model. The Network Security Specialist will need strong technical capabilities with a solid background in project management. The Network Security Specialist will excel at managing technical tasks and delivering solutions within strict regulatory deadlines, while effectively adapting to shifting priorities and stakeholder demands.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

Offer expert technical guidance, leadership, and strategic insight in matters related to network security. Contribute technical knowledge to the evaluation of security practices of electronic communication service providers. Analyze and assess technical solutions to ensure they meet network security obligations. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the relevant security legislation and its practical application to electronic communication networks and services. Oversee and manage critical technical projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, deliverables, and team coordination. Communicate project updates, risks, and key developments to stakeholders. Occasionally represent the organization in interactions with external entities, such as national cybersecurity bodies and international regulatory platforms, including those led by European agencies. Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans related to network security functions and compliance, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Identify and address regulatory and technical challenges related to network security, providing recommendations to mitigate risks. Support the development of regulatory frameworks and procedures to enable effective oversight of electronic communication networks and services. Manage external consultants, including handling the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining governance standards. Represent the organization in various national and international working groups.

Experience & Skills Required

A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, law, business, or significant relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years experience as a Network Security Manager (recent) Proven experience in a technical role within the telecommunications industry. Strong project management experience, particularly in overseeing and delivering complex projects in a telecommunications setting. Excellent people management skills - candidates must have managed a techncial department/team in previous roles. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and critical thinking to solve problems effectively.

Excellent communication and influencing skills, including

Experience in clearly conveying project details and technical information. Ability to draft documents for senior stakeholders or public dissemination. Proficiency in presenting information clearly in a multidisciplinary context. Essential and Desirable Skills Technical expertise in network security. Familiarity with electronic communication security legislation. Educational Requirements A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as science, technology, engineering, law, business, or significant relevant experience.
