Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

As an Oncology Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to patients undergoing cancer treatment and support patients throughout their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to oncology patients
• Support patients throughout their treatment and recovery
• Administer medications and treatments safely in line with clinical guidelines
• Monitor patients and recognise changes in clinical condition
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and care plans
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families

Requirements

• NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse
• Previous experience working as an Oncology Nurse in Ireland
• Experience in oncology nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy hospital environment
• Right to work in Ireland
