An established Dublin-based professional services firm is seeking a motivated Part-Qualified Accountant to join its finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong academic background, professional services experience and who is nearing completion of their ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting exams.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will act as their right-hand person, taking ownership of key day-to-day finance operations and supporting financial reporting, controls and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end, management accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage accounting ledgers, intercompany reconciliations and monthly recharges.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll across Ireland and the UK.
• Monitor WIP, client balances and key control accounts.
• Maintain robust financial controls and support the wider finance team.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience within a professional services environment is essential.
• Strong academic background and relevant third-level qualification.
• Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with exams nearing completion.
• Strong technical accounting, reconciliation and financial control experience.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and capable of working independently while supporting the Financial Controller.
