Payroll Manager.

Location: South Dublin Salary: Dependent on experience Role Type: Permanent, Full Time Role Purpose We are hiring on behalf of a client of ours for a Payroll Manager to lead the end-to-end payroll function for weekly and monthly cycles, managing a payroll team and ensuring accurate, timely, compliant payroll in line with Irish legislation and Revenue requirements. The role is the key point of contact for payroll matters across HR, Finance and the wider business. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing, inputs and approvals (starters/leavers, rate changes, overtime, sick/holiday pay, bonuses, deductions, pensions, benefits) Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and complex queries (final pay, pensions, benefits, expenses) Lead, coach and develop the payroll team; manage workload and cover Ensure compliance with PAYE, PRSI, USC and Irish payroll legislation; manage Revenue submissions and year-end requirements Reconcile payroll to the general ledger; prepare reports and support audits Partner with HR and Finance on payroll accuracy, projects and system improvements Identify and implement process and control improvements Essential Experience 5+ years’ payroll experience, including team management Strong Irish payroll knowledge (PAYE, PRSI, USC, statutory payments, pensions) Experience with both weekly and monthly payroll cycles Strong Excel and payroll/HRIS systems experience High attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to meet strict deadlines Desirable IPASS / Payroll Technician qualification Experience with high-volume payroll and system upgrades/integrations General ledger reconciliation experience
