Process Manager.

Hartley People Recruitment is partnering with our client in the food and nutrition industry to recruit a Process Manager for an 18-month fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, multi-national Irish owned company with a significant presence internationally. The successful candidate will be a natural leader who can motivate and lead a team towards success. They should be customer oriented with strong business awareness.

The role

Responsibilities

• Promote & implement best practice Health & Safety procedures and ensure adherence to product safety, quality and legality standards

• Maintain GMP standards within the facility and lead internal audits.

• Support customer and third-party audits

• Drive operational excellence through effective management of plant operations, production schedules, utilisation of people, equipment and materials to minimise loss and process variation

• Be proactive with actions to improve plant performance through monitoring of KPI’s

• Provide technical support for process, quality and production issues and lead troubleshooting activities for same

• Drive continuous improvement throughout the plant using Lean Manufacturing and Business Excellence methodologies.

• Support capital investment projects through the preparation of business cases and Project Investment Requests (PIRs).

• Develop, coach, and mentor plant operators and support teams to build capability and create a high-performance culture.

• Manage employee matters in line with company policies and HR procedures.

Key Requirements

• 2 – 3 years management experience within a manufacturing, dairy, food or process industry environment
• Strong people management, coaching, and team development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage production activities, prioritize workloads, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient IT and data analysis skills.

What will make you stand out

• Experience in dairy processing, including milk handling, cream processing, pasteurisation, and product packing.
• Knowledge of food safety systems, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
• Experience supporting capital projects and process optimization initiatives.
