Production Supervisor.

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy and growing bakery production facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader with experience in food manufacturing or high-volume production environments to oversee daily operations and drive performance across the production floor.

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of production operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of production staff across bakery operations.
• Ensure daily production schedules are achieved on time and in full.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and waste levels to maximise operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures.
• Coordinate staffing levels and allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct team briefings, training, and performance management activities.
• Work closely with Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
• Complete production reports and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience within food manufacturing, bakery production, or FMCG environments.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good IT and reporting skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts if required.
