TechHeads are working with a leading global technology organisation looking to hire an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join its growing Cyber Security function.

This is a senior technical security role within a large, complex enterprise environment, offering exposure to a broad range of cybersecurity technologies across cloud security, network security, infrastructure protection and security engineering.

The organisation continues to invest in its cybersecurity capabilities, with a strong focus on modernising security infrastructure, strengthening security controls and supporting ongoing technology transformation programmes.

You’ll play an important role in designing, implementing and improving security solutions across hybrid environments, working closely with infrastructure, cloud, engineering and security operations teams.

This is a hands-on technical position suited to an experienced security professional who enjoys solving complex security challenges and contributing to the development of secure enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions across enterprise infrastructure, cloud and network environments.
• Supporting security engineering initiatives across Microsoft Azure, AWS, network security, endpoint protection and identity management.
• Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, security misconfigurations and infrastructure security risks.
• Working with technologies including firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management platforms.
• Supporting security architecture improvements, infrastructure upgrades and cybersecurity transformation projects.
• Collaborating with cloud, infrastructure and development teams to embed security best practices and improve security controls.
• Contributing to incident investigations, security assessments, technical documentation and continuous security improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security Engineering, Infrastructure Security or a similar technical security role.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise security technologies including firewalls, network security, endpoint protection and vulnerability management.
• Experience securing Microsoft Azure, AWS or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Good understanding of identity and access management, network segmentation, security monitoring and incident response.
• Experience implementing and maintaining security controls across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple technical teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent would be advantageous.
