Senior Estimator – Tuam.

Our client, a leading Civils and Utilities contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Civils Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team in Tuam, Co. Galway and Dublin. The role covers tenders for infrastructure projects across the power, water, gas, telecommunications and public infrastructure sectors. You will lead the preparation of competitive tender submissions for public and private sector clients, working alongside an experienced management and delivery team. The successful candidate will bring significant estimating experience in civils, utilities or infrastructure and strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation, pricing and submission of tenders for civil engineering and utility infrastructure projects.Manage assigned tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover.Review tender documents, specifications, drawings and contract requirements.Obtain, analyse and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.Develop cost estimates, pricing models and bid strategies.Work with Design, Operations, Commercial and Project Delivery teams to develop tender solutions, programmes and methodologies.Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering proposals.Support post-tender negotiations and client presentations, and provide detailed handovers to delivery teams on award.Mentor junior estimators and support the wider pre-construction team.RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.Significant estimating experience within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and procurement processes.Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, labour outputs and supply chain pricing.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.Ability to manage multiple tenders at once with attention to detail.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
