Our client, a leading semi-state organisation, is seeking a Senior Team Lead to join their Civil, Geotechnical & Water team within Networks Civil & Environmental Engineering.This role will focus on leading the delivery of water, drainage and climate-related engineering services across major infrastructure projects, while managing a team and supporting long-term network development.You will play a key role in project delivery, technical oversight, team leadership and ensuring compliance across the full project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Compliance• Lead delivery of civil and water-related inputs across projects, ensuring scope, budget and programme targets are met• Act in PSDP capacity where required, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations• Oversee appraisals of existing infrastructure to ensure regulatory complianceTechnical Expertise & Design• Act as subject matter expert in hydrology, drainage and hydraulic design• Deliver and review drainage and hydraulic calculations across infrastructure projects• Review and challenge design submissions from consultants and third partiesTeam Leadership & Development• Lead, manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team• Set objectives, manage performance and ensure accountability• Support technical development through coaching and knowledge sharingQuality Assurance & Governance• Ensure quality of all technical deliverables across the team and external partners• Support implementation of quality procedures across the wider engineering functionStrategic Resource Management• Identify and manage external partners through framework agreements• Support delivery capability through effective resource planningSustainability & Continuous Improvement• Promote sustainable engineering solutions across all projects• Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across the teamRequirementsEssential• Level 8 degree in Engineering or equivalent• Chartered Engineer status• Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience• Strong experience delivering water, drainage or civil infrastructure projects• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholders• Strong knowledge of PSDP responsibilities and compliance requirements• Commercial awareness with understanding of project impact on business outcomes• Strong communication and report writing skillsDesirable• Team management experience• Experience in surface or groundwater contamination• Experience with FIDIC contracts including EPC or Design & Build• Level 9 qualification• Full driving licenceWhat’s on Offer• Opportunity to lead critical infrastructure projects within the energy sector• Strong focus on leadership development and mentoring• Flexible hybrid working model• Long-term project exposure and career progression• Collaborative and values-driven environmentWhy Apply with Sonas?• Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutions• Market Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offer• Direct Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managers• Seamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
