About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established main contractor working on construction projects across Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable construction company delivering projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with the construction programme.

• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the site.

• Oversee all site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings and quality standards.

• Plan, organise and coordinate construction activities to meet agreed project deadlines.

• Monitor site progress, identify potential delays and implement solutions where required.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and other members of the project team.

• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

• Manage site resources, including labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors.

• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.

• Attend site meetings and provide regular updates on progress, programme and any issues arising.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and relevant project documentation.

• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

• Ensure high standards of workmanship are maintained throughout the project.

Requirements

• Trade background, qualification in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Site Manager or similar construction management role.

• Previous experience working with a main contractor or specialist contractor.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site operations and project delivery.

• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple site activities.

• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and quality management procedures.

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to build effective working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and clients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general site reporting systems.

• Ability to work independently and manage site operations effectively.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
