Steel Fixing Foreman.

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly capable Steel Fixing Foreman to lead and supervise reinforcement steel fixing operations on construction projects. Hours: This is a full-time role (minimum 39 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

Manage and lead steel fixing crewsCoordinate reinforcement activities on siteInterpret reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedulesEnsure all reinforcement works are completed safely, accurately and to project specificationsWork to the project programme and concrete pour requirementsIdentify and resolve practical site issuesRequirementsProven experience as a Steel Fixing Foreman, Steel Fixing Chargehand or Senior Steel FixerExtensive practical experience in reinforcement steel fixingStrong knowledge of reinforced concrete constructionAbility to read structural and reinforcement drawingsExperience with bar bending schedules and reinforcement detailsStrong understanding of reinforcement installation, tying, laps, couplers, starters, links and supportsGood understanding of construction sequencingStrong knowledge of site health and safety proceduresExcellent communication and leadership skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityReliable, organised and proactiveSafe Pass and Manual Handling certificationDesirableRelevant trade or construction qualificationsAdditional lifting, supervisory or safety qualifications
