Job Description

FT Workforce is currently recruiting for a steel installation project in South Dublin. We are looking to fill several positions within the installation team.

Positions Available

• Foreman
• Steel Erector
• Labourer

We are seeking reliable, hardworking candidates with relevant construction experience who can work safely and efficiently on site. Candidates with experience in steel installation, the ability to read technical drawings and the initiative to work independently are particularly encouraged to apply.

You do not need to have an existing crew to apply. We are recruiting individuals to fill each of the positions listed above.

The project is due to start on Tuesday 27th or Wednesday 28th October 2026, with the potential for work right up to Christmas and longer beyond for the right crew.

Roles and Responsibilities

Foreman

• Oversee and coordinate steel installation activities.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Organise daily tasks and coordinate site activities.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
• Liaise with site management and other trades.

Steel Erector

• Install and assemble structural steelwork.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Position, align and secure steel components.
• Work safely at height where required.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.

Labourer

• Assist with steel installation and general site duties.
• Handle and move materials as required.
• Support steel erectors and other site personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant construction experience for the position.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Relevant tickets and certifications where required.
• Good understanding of site health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to read technical drawings for relevant positions.
• Own tools preferred.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Valid permission to work in Ireland.
