Student Placement 2027 | Governance, Risk and Assurance.

Moore are delighted to invite applications for our intern programme for 2027. Successful applicants will join our Governance, Risk and Assurance (“GRA”) team in Cork, and help us to provide our clients with objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve their operations by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes. Our client base is largely made up of Irish credit unions. You will participate in the delivery of leading-edge governance and risk advisory services to a varied client portfolio. Looking into 2027, we will continue making assessments on areas for our clients such as lending, cyber, finance and fraud, risk management and compliance. In addition, many of our clients, specifically credit unions, require strategic planning services and ad-hoc advisory and assurance support. This includes assisting boards and management teams in defining long-term objectives, aligning operational priorities with regulatory requirements, and developing actionable implementation plans. Our Governance, Risk, and Assurance (GRA) team also delivers targeted advisory engagements to address emerging risks, compliance challenges, and governance needs, ensuring credit unions remain resilient and well-positioned for sustainable growth.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and results driven interns to work directly for our GRA team from January to June 2027 (timeframe is flexible). Almost all of our work culminates in analysing something complex, breaking it down into something simple, understanding it, explaining it, and writing a meaningful and constructive report. We want people to help us do this, and to do it well. The successful candidates will have the unique advantage of working directly with a Partner and lead specialists, gaining expert mentorship in a wide range of modern contemporary advisory services, meeting clients, and presenting to clients. We are keen to meet and invest in bright, energetic, analytical, mathematical, open-minded and diligent students.

The successful candidates will likely have a keen interest in a variety of financial services, and thrive in a fast-paced, solution-focused, deadline driven environment. Innovation is a key variable in our team, and we are keen for the successful candidate to share any ideas and solutions to better serve our daily practices.
