About this role
Build your future while helping preserve a historic landmark. RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, in partnership with Murcom Building Services Ltd., is offering two unique six-month placement opportunities supporting Project Timeless, the conservation of RCSI’s historic 123 St Stephen’s Green building. Participants will gain hands-on experience on a live heritage conservation project, working alongside skilled conservation specialists while developing practical workplace skills. There are two pathways available: Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP): A supported placement for eligible jobseekers receiving qualifying social welfare payments, offering practical experience, structured training and mentoring. Paid Six-Month Placement: A paid opportunity for individuals with relevant skills, experience or qualifications who would like to further develop their expertise in a live project environment. Participants will receive training and exposure to areas including Safe Pass, manual handling, workplace safety, hand tools, carpentry, masonry and traditional conservation techniques, alongside ongoing mentoring and support. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people with a genuine interest in learning, construction, conservation and heritage. Interested? Apply by emailing your CV and cover letter to [email protected] by 26 October 2026.
