Area Technical Manager.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Area Technical Manager to join our client’s business, covering the North Leinster region. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically credible, commercially focused professional with strong experience in specification-led sales within the construction sector. The role focuses on both new build and refurbishment projects, engaging with key stakeholders throughout the specification and delivery process.

The position covers the following areas

Longford Louth Meath Westmeath Part of Dublin The successful candidate will work closely with architectural practices, main contractors, and building surveyors across the region. Reporting Line Reporting directly to the Regional Manager for Ireland. Location Candidates must be based in North Leinster, ideally residing in Dublin or within a 60-minute commute of the territory. The Role As Area Technical Manager, you will be responsible for driving specification-led sales, building strong relationships with decision-makers, and managing projects from early design stage through to completion. You will combine technical expertise with commercial awareness to influence specifications and deliver sustainable revenue growth. Candidates from a contractor background or a technical building products sales role will also be considered, provided they have a strong understanding of construction routes to market. Key Experience and Skills Proven experience in specification sales, ideally within building envelope systems or technically complex construction products Strong technical knowledge with the ability to clearly communicate product and system solutions Good market knowledge and commercial credibility within the North Leinster construction sector Strong influencing, negotiating, and relationship management skills Clear understanding of routes to market involving architects, contractors, and consultants Package and Remuneration On-target earnings circa €85,000 – €90,000 Basic salary circa €60,000 – €65,000, dependent on experience Sales target of €1.5m Commission, bonus, and additional benefits included This role will suit a highly motivated, self-driven individual who enjoys autonomy and taking ownership of their region.
