Ashgrove Transport is recruiting multiple Artic Vehicle Drivers for its premises at Ashgrove Ballinacurra Mooncoin Co. Kilkenny X91 Y052 The salary range starts from €34,000 (16.77/hr) based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required. Job Description Full Time Artic driver required to deliver to construction sites with flat bed and low loader trailers across the country. Previous experience in this type of work not essential as full training will be provided but a good understanding of operating plant and at least one years EC artic driving would be an advantage . Overnights not essential but are available depending on location of work etc with full facilities in our depot if required . Truck will be based in or close to our base in South Kilkenny. Rate of Pay is per hour and overnights, Night works out of hours etc extra .

Responsibilities

Transport goods between locations, often long-distance. Ensure loads are correctly secured and compliant with legal weight limits. Perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance. Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours. Adhere to traffic laws and transport regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients. Handle loading/unloading if required (may involve using a tail lift or forklift).

Key Requirements

Valid Driver's License Experience driving articulated lorries (often 1+ year preferred). Good knowledge of road networks and regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Physical fitness for manual handling (if needed). ‍
