About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well- established main contractor overseeing construction projects across Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable construction company delivering projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple construction projects, overseeing project teams and ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of construction projects from initial planning through to completion and handover.

• Manage and support Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and wider project teams.

• Develop and implement project execution plans, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards are achieved.

• Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, company procedures and industry standards.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and implement solutions to ensure successful delivery.

• Work closely with commercial teams to oversee project budgets, financial performance and cost control.

• Review construction methods and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, buildability and project delivery.

• Coordinate project resources, including labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment.

• Ensure subcontractor activities are aligned with agreed construction programmes.
• Attend regular progress meetings with clients and project teams, providing updates on programme, costs and project performance.

• Oversee quality management, BCAR compliance and project documentation.

• Manage technical queries, design coordination and RFIs throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support and mentor project teams, ensuring strong communication and effective collaboration.

• Maintain positive client relationships and ensure projects are delivered to agreed expectations.

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in a senior construction management role, ideally as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager.

• Previous experience working with a main contractor or specialist contractor.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, project planning and contract administration.

• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, programmes and multidisciplinary teams.

• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations, quality management systems and BCAR requirements.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage project costs and financial performance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project or similar project scheduling software.

• Excellent leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

• Ability to lead, mentor and motivate project teams.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
