About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused Deputy Store Manager to support the day-to-day running of a busy retail operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail professional who enjoys leading teams, driving sales and delivering outstanding customer service.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play a key role in improving store performance, developing colleagues and ensuring operational standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in the overall management and performance of the store.
• Lead, motivate and develop the retail team to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards across all areas of the store.
• Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Coach and train colleagues to maximise their potential and maintain consistent retail standards.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and address performance issues when necessary.
• Support the implementation of business changes and new initiatives.
• Ensure the store operates efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Promote a positive team culture built on accountability, communication and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• A minimum of 18 months’ experience in a similar customer-focused, fast-paced role.
• Previous retail management or supervisory experience, with a proven ability to drive sales and improve performance.
• Experience working towards targets and consistently achieving key performance indicators.
• Strong leadership, communication and team development skills.
• A coaching-led management style, with the confidence to provide feedback and take corrective action when required.
• Experience supporting change management and improving operational performance.
• A commercially minded approach, with a strong focus on sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• A self-motivated, positive and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards.
