Red Chair Recruitment is delighted to partner with a prestigious 4-star resort in County Meath to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. Renowned for its exceptional guest experience, luxury accommodation, dining, leisure, and events facilities, the resort is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join its senior management team and support its continued success. This is an initial 4 to 6 months contract with the opportunity to become permanent. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day finance function and oversee financial operations. Prepare monthly management accounts and present financial reports to senior management. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability. Partner with departmental managers to support commercial decision-making. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure statutory compliance. Manage payroll, VAT returns, audits, and year-end reporting. Monitor costs, revenue performance, and working capital. Oversee finance systems and identify process improvements. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. Candidate Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA). Minimum five years’ post-qualified experience in a senior finance position. Previous hospitality experience is essential, ideally within a hotel or resort environment. Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial reporting skills. Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cash flow. Strong systems knowledge and proficiency with financial software.
