Financial Controller.

Red Chair Recruitment is delighted to partner with a prestigious 4-star resort in County Meath to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. Renowned for its exceptional guest experience, luxury accommodation, dining, leisure, and events facilities, the resort is seeking a commercially focused finance professional to join its senior management team and support its continued success. This is an initial 4 to 6 months contract with the opportunity to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and oversee financial operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and present financial reports to senior management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Partner with departmental managers to support commercial decision-making.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure statutory compliance.
• Manage payroll, VAT returns, audits, and year-end reporting.
• Monitor costs, revenue performance, and working capital.
• Oversee finance systems and identify process improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA).
• Minimum five years’ post-qualified experience in a senior finance position.
• Previous hospitality experience is essential, ideally within a hotel or resort environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial reporting skills.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Strong systems knowledge and proficiency with financial software.

Salary is based on experience and in the region of €83,000.
