A well-established, reputable business based in Carlow is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm or Fire Protection Engineer job. If you know your way around fire detection and protection systems, hold a solid electrical background, and you're tired of lengthy commutes — this could be the role worth stopping for. The Role Working across commercial and industrial sites in the Carlow/Kilkenny region, installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm and fire protection system jobs. Permanent position with a company where people tend to stay.
Day to day
Installation and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive callouts Fault finding, diagnosis, and system testing Client-facing work on commercial and industrial sites Completion of service records and handover documentation Who They're Looking For Proven experience in fire alarm or fire protection engineering Electrical qualification a strong advantage — Safe Electric / RECI registered or equivalent highly desirable Familiarity with leading panel manufacturers (Hochiki, Notifier, Morley, Apollo, or similar) Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Clean driving licence Local to Carlow/Kilkenny — commutable distance preferred Experience on the tools matters here.
