Job Description

Flexsource is currently recruiting for a Freight Forwarder / Inside Sales Executive on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in Logistics and Freight Forwarding, based in North Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy commercial team, generating new business and growing existing customer accounts within the freight and logistics sector. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have a confident telephone manner, and have previous experience within a logistics or freight forwarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Win new business by identifying and targeting prospective customers who need freight and logistics services within agreed sectors and territories.
• Make high volumes of outbound calls to generate appointments, freight enquiries and quotations.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers in importing, exporting and supply chain functions, and understand their shipping requirements.
• Prepare competitive freight quotations for customers, working with the operations team to secure the best rates.
• Follow up quotations promptly and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to onboarding of new customers.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Grow existing accounts by identifying additional lanes, services and volumes through cross-selling and upselling.
• Maintain regular contact with assigned customers to strengthen relationships and support retention.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system.
• Monitor freight market trends, rate changes and competitor activity, and share insights with the wider commercial team.
• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service and Finance colleagues to ensure a smooth customer experience.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience within logistics or freight forwarding is essential.
• Experience in a sales, telesales, inside sales, or business development role is desirable.
• Experience selling freight or B2B logistics services would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Strong prospecting and lead generation skills.
• Understanding of consultative sales techniques.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve and exceed targets.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Hours

• Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00

Pay

• Basic Salary: €46,000 – €52,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Performance Bonus: Individual performance bonus
• Company Bonus: Company performance bonus
• Holidays: 22 days annual leave
• Pension: Company pension scheme
