Job Title: Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Location: Nursing Home, Oranmore, Galway

Pay Rates: Starting from €15 per hour, with enhanced rates available depending on experience and shifts worked.

Position Overview

We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a nursing home located in the beautiful area of Oranmore, Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and motivated HCAs who are passionate about providing high-quality care to residents in a supportive nursing home environment.

Multiple shifts are available on a regular basis, including both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility support
• Promote residents’ comfort, dignity, and independence at all times
• Support nursing staff in delivering person-centred care
• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ condition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 modules required:
• Care Skills
• Care Support
• Plus one of the following: Safety & Health at Work or Communications
• Previous experience working in an Irish healthcare facility is essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts
