Hotel Managing Director.

Red Chair Recruitment are recruiting a Hotel Managing Director for one of our clients, a prestigious luxury hotel and resort in County Wicklow. You will take overall responsibility for the resort’s operations, commercial performance and guest experience. Additionally, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership across all departments while protecting the property’s established brand, character and sustainability ethos. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring flexibility across 5 days over 7.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Events, Spa, Maintenance, Sales, Finance and HR.
• Lead, motivate and develop Heads of Department and wider resort teams.
• Drive revenue across accommodation, F&B, weddings, events, spa and leisure.
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, cash flow, labour costs and profitability.
• Analyse KPIs including RevPAR, ADR and occupancy and implement improvement strategies.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing to maximise commercial opportunities and grow the business.
• Report regularly to the owners on financial and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with employment, health & safety and company policies.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, local businesses and the community.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ hospitality experience, including senior General Manager or Hospitality Director experience.
• Proven experience within a 5-star country house or luxury hotel is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
• Strong operational, financial, F&B and events management experience.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
