Conduct regular internal security audits and vulnerability assessments, ensuring that identified risks are remediated promptly. Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, documentation and periodic testing, while monitoring emerging threats and regulatory changes and providing proactive recommendations to management.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary escalation point for the existing team of IT Helpdesk Engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching and knowledge transfer. Work as a trusted deputy to the Group IT Manager, contributing to IT strategy, planning and key project delivery. Manage and monitor the performance of the external MSP, overseeing service-level agreements, escalations and service quality. Liaise with department heads and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into appropriate security and infrastructure solutions. Provide clear, concise reporting on security posture, risks and compliance status to IT management and the wider business, and proactively identify improvement opportunities across the IT estate, presenting well-reasoned recommendations to the Group IT Manager.
