The Lead Mechanical Project Engineer will manage engineering team and subcontractors installing on site, while also providing engineering and design support and coordinating closely with project managers, clients, consultants and other trades to ensure smooth site operations and successful project delivery
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial sites.
- Manage on-site engineers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely project delivery.
- Carry out site reviews of work areas as part of design and construction process to identify construction constraints.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth site operations.
- Management of Site Design and Construction processes.
- Manage and drive the team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines.
- Carry out inspections, testing, and quality control throughout the construction phase.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Trade qualified with a National Craft Certificate or relevant third level qualification.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory, foreman, or construction management role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety and quality.
