M&E Quantity Surveyor.

A leading engineering company based in Mullingar is keen to hire an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Working across Data Centre, Life Sciences, Industrial and large Commercial projects, you will be responsible for the commercial management of fire protection packages from tender through to final account, working closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers and the Design team. Candidates with an M&E or Building Services subcontractor background are well suited to this role.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare tender pricing and bills of quantities for mechanical and fire protection packages.Prepare monthly valuations and payment applications and agree them with main contractors.Assess, price and agree variations and change orders.Prepare cost value reconciliations and cost-to-complete forecasts.Hire subcontractors and buy materials, and manage subcontractor payments.Review contract terms and flag commercial risks on retention, liability and payment.Agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.Report on project margins and cash flow to senior management.Support the handling of claims and payment disputes as required.RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with an M&E or specialist subcontractor.Preferred experience on Fire and Sprinkler system packages.Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.Working knowledge of PWC, RIAI, NEC or JCT forms of contract.Strong Excel skills, with the ability to produce clear cost reports.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, project teams and senior management.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
