Project Engineer (Consultancy).

Our client, a well-established Project Management & Design Consultancy, is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join their Waterford office due to a strong and growing pipeline of work. The role will involve working across a diverse range of projects including renewables, infrastructure, residential, commercial, and sustainable developments throughout Ireland. You will be involved in projects from concept through to construction, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical capability, consultancy experience, and the ambition to progress toward senior-level roles.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver civil engineering designs across multiple projects from concept to construction stage.Develop sustainable engineering solutions for public and private sector clients.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme and quality requirements.Prepare, review, and quality-check design drawings and technical documentation.Attend and contribute to client meetings and multidisciplinary design team meetings.Carry out site inspections and prepare BCAR and compliance-related reports.Develop concept designs and progress them through detailed design stages.Utilise industry-standard software for civil and structural design and coordination.Report progress, risks, and technical matters to senior engineers and project managers.RequirementsLevel 8 or Level 9 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum 5+ years’ post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.Experience working on infrastructure, renewables, or multi-sector engineering projects.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Causeway, MicroDrainage, Tekla, or MasterSeries.Strong communication, reporting, and client-facing skills.Working towards Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutions.Market Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates, and benefits on offer.Direct Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managers.Seamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews, and negotiations.For more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
