Quantity Surveyor.

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Wexford. The successful candidate will support the commercial management of structural steel, cladding, roofing, and construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled, contractual obligations are met and projects remain commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, bills of quantities and tender submissions for construction and fabrication projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements, material quantities, and associated costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and value for money.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare interim valuations, progress payment applications, final accounts, and commercial reports.
• Identify, assess and manage variations, additional works, and potential commercial risks.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and assist with contract administration and cost forecasting.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, structural steel, cladding or a related industry.
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, tendering, procurement, and contract administration.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating or cost management software.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
