Senior Civil & Structural Design Engineer.

Our client, a leading semi-state organisation, is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join their Networks Civil & Environmental Engineering team.This role will focus on delivering civil and structural design solutions across major infrastructure projects, supporting the transition to a low-carbon energy future.You will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across medium to large-scale infrastructure projects• Act as Civil & Structural lead on assigned projects, overseeing design, review and delivery• Deliver civil and structural design from concept through to detailed design and construction stages• Manage scoping, procurement and preparation of design packages• Oversee civil works contracts and coordinate contractors and sub-consultants• Provide technical guidance ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations• Support statutory compliance, including acting as PSDP shadow• Identify and manage design and construction risks, ensuring safety and quality standards are met• Support team development through mentoring and knowledge sharingRequirementsEssential:• Level 8 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a consultancy or similar environment• Experience delivering projects within multidisciplinary teams• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards• Experience with design and analysis software• Strong communication and report writing skills• Full driving licenceDesirable:• Level 9 qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering• Chartered Engineer status or working towardsWhy Apply with Sonas?• Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutions• Market Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offer• Direct Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managers• Seamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
