TechHeads are working with a major financial services organisation looking to hire an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join its established Cyber Security function.

This is a senior technical security role within a large enterprise environment, offering the opportunity to work across security operations, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and cyber defence.

The organisation operates within a highly regulated environment and continues to invest in strengthening its cybersecurity capabilities, improving security monitoring and enhancing its ability to detect and respond to emerging threats.

You’ll work as part of an experienced cybersecurity team, supporting the protection of critical systems, sensitive information and enterprise infrastructure.

This is a hands-on security role suited to an experienced analyst who enjoys technical investigations, threat analysis and improving security detection and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring, analysing and investigating security events, alerts and potential cybersecurity incidents across enterprise environments.
• Supporting incident response, threat detection, security investigations and remediation activities .
• Working with SIEM, EDR, XDR and security monitoring technologies to identify suspicious activity and potential threats.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments, reviewing security findings and coordinating remediation activities with technical teams.
• Supporting proactive threat hunting, threat intelligence analysis and improvements to security detection capabilities.
• Investigating security incidents across network, endpoint, cloud and identity environments .
• Contributing to the development of security monitoring procedures, incident response playbooks and security operational improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security Operations, Security Analysis, Incident Response or a similar technical security role .
• Strong experience working with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or QRadar .
• Knowledge of EDR/XDR technologies, threat detection, vulnerability management and incident investigation .
• Strong understanding of network security, operating systems, cybersecurity threats and common attack techniques.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, incident response frameworks and security monitoring methodologies .
• Experience investigating security incidents across enterprise infrastructure, cloud or endpoint environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to investigate complex security issues.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP or Microsoft Security certifications would be advantageous.
