Senior Structural EngineerOur client, a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their Structures team on a permanent basis. This is a leadership role covering complex structural projects from concept through to completion, with the successful candidate choosing to be based out of Dublin, Galway or Limerick. Salary on offer is up to €70,000. The ideal candidate is a chartered structural engineer who combines strong technical delivery with project leadership and team mentoring.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee structural design of projects using Eurocodes across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.Review, check and approve structural calculations, drawings and specifications produced by junior engineers.Prepare and oversee tender documentation and tender assessments.Coordinate structural inputs with architects, civil engineers, M&E engineers and other design disciplines.Review and coordinate Revit and Navisworks models to ensure interdisciplinary alignment.Prepare technical reports and communicate design solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.Manage project delivery, including programme, resourcing, budget control and quality assurance.Carry out site inspections and BCAR inspections and reports, assisting with ancillary certification.Mentor and support graduate and intermediate engineers, fostering technical development and best practice.RequirementsChartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) with Engineers Ireland.Honours Degree (Level 8 minimum) in Structural or Civil Engineering with a strong structural focus.Typically 12-18+ years experience in structural design within a consulting engineering environment.Proven ability to lead projects and manage technical teams.Highly proficient in industry-standard software including Autodesk Robot, Tekla Structural Designer, CADS A3D and Tedds.Strong commercial awareness, including fee management, budgets and programme delivery.Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
