One of Ireland's leading sheet metal fabrication companies is looking for a Silo Assembly Operative to join their team. The company operates across two sites and employs over 170 people, and manufactures its own range of agricultural, biomass and wastewater treatment bulk storage silos. Hours: This is a full-time role (minimum 39 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly of silo units and sub-componentsUse hand and power tools, including electric drills, nut runners (torque tools), jigsaws and angle grindersBolt and rivet components together to specificationOperate an overhead gantry crane to lift and position partsRead and follow assembly drawings and instructionsGeneral material handling and production support tasksMaintain quality standards and safe working practicesRequirementsComfortable using hand and power toolsBasic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnGood attitude, reliability and ability to work as part of a team (work in teams of two)DesirableExperience in a manufacturing, construction or mechanical assembly environmentMIG welding experienceOverhead crane experience (training will be provided)
