Are you an ambitious Commis Chef with 2-3 years of experience looking to develop your skills in a dynamic kitchen? A well-established restaurant in Union Hall, Cork is seeking a talented and hardworking Commis Chef to join the team for a 4-month seasonal contract starting in June!

Position Details

Role: Commis Chef Contract: 4-month seasonal contract (June - September 2025) Location: Union Hall, Cork, Ireland Salary: Starting at €14.00 per hour, based on experience Accommodation: Low-cost staff accommodation available

Responsibilities

✔ Assist in the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes to high standards ✔ Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations ✔ Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained at all times ✔ Participate in stock control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients ✔ Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment ✔ Follow recipes and presentation standards while also bringing creativity to the team

Requirements

🔹 Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen 🔹 Strong passion for cooking and learning new techniques 🔹 Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment (serving between 50 to 150 covers per service) 🔹 Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP standards 🔹 A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic 🔹 Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
