The Emergency Departments and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) services at the Royal Victoria and Mater hospitals in Belfast are seeking locum middle grade doctors to cover a large number of shifts over the coming weeks.
- Shifts available most days between Friday 23rd October and Sunday 29th November 2026, with heavy weekend demand (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)
- Day shifts typically 08:00–16:00 or 08:00–17:00
- Late/evening shifts typically 13:00–21:00, 14:00–22:00, 14:30–22:30 and 16:00–00:00
- Night shifts 22:00–08:00 (1st, 2nd and 3rd November)
- Book a single shift or a block — multiple doctors needed on many dates
- Full shift list available on request
- Middle grade (registrar-level) emergency medicine experience required
