Group H&S Manager.

Great Opportunity for an ambitious individual interested in overseeing the Health & Safety function of a large organisation! Our client, who works across the Telecommunications and Utilities sector, is seeking a Group Health & Safety Manager to join their team, based in Limerick on a hybrid working basis. This role will manage and coordinate all Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the Group, spanning office, field and construction environments. Reporting to the Group HR Director, the successful candidate will maintain ISO accreditations, oversee PSDP and PSCS obligations, and embed a proactive safety and wellbeing culture across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.Coordinate external audits and certification surveillance to retain and expand ISO accreditations.Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Acts and the Construction Regulations 2013, including oversight of PSDP and PSCS activities.Maintain statutory and Group documentation, including Safety Statements, risk assessments, RAMS and permits to work.Manage the H&S risk register, and record and analyse incidents, near misses and corrective actions.Act as the primary liaison with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), coordinating responses to inspections, audits and notices.Oversee safety across field and construction operations, supervising the Health & Safety Officer and site audit programme.Manage the Group Contractor Safety Management Framework, including contractor pre-qualification, inductions and ongoing audits.Support the Group HR Director in delivering the Group Wellbeing Programme and report monthly H&S KPIs for board review.RequirementsDegree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Health (Level 7 or higher).PSDP and PSCS qualification with practical experience in infrastructure, telecoms or construction environments.Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in a senior H&S role, ideally in telecoms, utilities or engineering.Proven experience managing ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 systems.Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel.Must be eligible to work in Ireland without the need for employer sponsorship.BenefitsHybrid Working26 Days Annual Leave10% Annual Bonus6% PensionCommercial Vehicle Health InsuranceIncome Protection Why Apply with Sonas?Expertise: Specialists in Engineering and Technical talent solutionsMarket Insights: Access to the best salaries, rates and benefits on offerDirect Connections: We ensure your CV gets noticed by the right hiring managersSeamless Process: One point of contact for applications, interviews and negotiationsFor more information or to apply directly email [email protected] or apply directly on Indeed.
