Responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager

• Lead the daily restaurant operation, delivering smooth breakfast and lunch service
• Motivate, train, schedule, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
• Deliver consistently excellent customer service, food presentation, and venue standards
• Coordinate group dining, team bookings, special occasions, and events from enquiry to delivery
• Drive sales and profitability while managing labour, stock, purchasing, waste, and costs
• Work closely with the culinary team on seasonal menus, local produce, and dietary requirements
• Maintain full compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
• Build customer loyalty by responding to feedback and creating memorable dining experiences
• Report on restaurant performance and identify opportunities to improve service and revenue

Requirements for this Restaurant Manager job

• Proven Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, or hospitality management experience
• Experience leading a busy restaurant, cafe, hotel, or contract catering operation
• Strong team leadership, training, rota planning, and performance-management skills
• Commercial awareness with experience managing sales, labour, stock, waste, and food costs
• A hands-on, customer-focused leadership style and excellent communication skills
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements
