We are currently recruiting for a Sales Support Engineer based in Ballymount, Dublin 24. Salary – up to €50,000 basic + performance bonus Company vehicle provided - must have a full licence Hybrid model Benefits As a Sales Support Engineer you will play a crucial role in the sales process by providing technical expertise to our team and customers. You will work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, develop tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless implementation of the products. Your ability to communicate technical information in a clear and accessible manner will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities & Duties Technical Consultation: Review customer requirements, engineer drawing specifications, and mechanical constraints to select and size correct chain components and drive systems. Quotation & Proposal Delivery: Prepare precise, detailed commercial and technical offers for custom drive solutions and off-the-shelf chain replacement parts. Customer Support: Handle incoming technical queries from B2B clients, offering troubleshooting advice, CAD design verification, and product recommendations. Sales Liaison: Work directly with account managers to assist with client presentations, technical site surveys, and project tenders. Supplier & Technical Alignment: Coordinate with international manufacturing units and suppliers to verify technical tolerances, delivery timelines, and special fabrications. Requirements & Qualifications Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical support, or mechanical design—preferably within power transmission, industrial automation, or conveying systems. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (CAD proficiency preferred); solid understanding of mechanical drive components (chains, sprockets, bearings, gearboxes). Excellent verbal and written communication skills for dealing with corporate client accounts and external suppliers. Software: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with CRM or ERP software (e.g., SAGE, SAP, Salesforce).
