Read our first guides

We opened the IrishTalents blog, replacing a placeholder page. The first articles included a Critical Skills permit checklist and a guide to finding visa sponsored jobs in Ireland. Each article ended with links to the parts of the site that help with the next step, such as the companies directory.

Pick your occupation from the official list

On your profile, the occupation field changed from free text to a search box that suggests occupations from the official list Irish employment permits are based on. The visa check then worked from the occupation you picked on that list instead of the text you had typed. In September this was replaced by a free text field where you write your job title in your own words and we find the matching occupation for you.
