Do I need to be registered to work as an electrician in Ireland?
Electrical work in Ireland is a regulated trade, and certain work must be certified by a registered electrical contractor through Safe Electric. What that means for you depends on the work and on the employer, so check Safe Electric and Solas before you plan a move. Employers also ask for a Safe Pass for site work.
Is my electrical qualification from outside the EU recognised?
Ireland has a recognition process through NARIC Ireland, and Solas handles trade qualification recognition for the apprenticeship trades. Recognition is separate from registration, from a permit decision and from a job offer. This page cannot tell you how your qualification will be read.
